We've got no internet on 2d Fibre this morning, just saw the outage info on 2degrees site. No mobile data or calling on 2d phones either.

https://www.2degrees.nz/network-status/

Wondering if anyone knows any further info or eta for resolution? @morganbrowne @2degreescare

A small thing that would be really nice is on the outages page, to have the time the outage was first reported, the last time the message was updated, and an expected next update time and /or resolution time.

Hiya

Sorry for the issues in Nelson and thanks for the feedback on the outage page.

The outage page on our website is managed by our network operations centre, whose first priority is working to fix any outages. They update it as soon as they can. We unfortunately can't include ETR/update timing, as updates are a bit redundant unless the issue is fixed (and their priority is working on a fix). In this instance also, Chorus owns the infrastructure and is fixing it, not our own team, so we can't provide our own ETA/ETRs. Hope this all makes sense, but I'll pass the feedback on too.

Cheers,

Thanks Morgan, all makes sense.

I imagine it must be a bit of a major haha, we've got no 2d Fibre, no mobile calling, data or txt so even getting a data pack on a 2d phone isn't going to achieve much.

Cheers.

Another thing that would be useful is clearly defining the affected area. It's unclear what, if any, parts of the Tasman District are included in the description of the "Nelson Area".

Mobile data was back in Mot about 15 min ago, Fibre connection has just come back now.

Would love to know what happened!

Glad to hear - Looks like a possible SFP/port fault, team just swapped port assignment. Cheers
