For years I have asked the VF call centre about the poor coverage and they have always said "It's on the plan" ... Hmmm ... for 10 years??? Yeah Right!

You can never have enough Volvos!
jamesvini: at the start of their launch 2D are using alot of Vodafone cell towers around the country to get the coverage they need untill they can build their own.

Remember, they are only using Vodafone outside of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. In those cities, you can’t roam on Vodafone.
MISguru: Parts of Auckland only.
Dairy flat for example you would be roaming on VF (a Mate gets no 2d signal there so is therefore roaming on VF) Perhaps only Auckland Central.
Hmmmm
cisconz: As I have said earlier, currently as far as I remember the line is around Albany, Henderson and Pukekohe.
MISguru: Got my 2degrees SIM sorted and pleased to find that I finally have coverage at my house in the Eastern Beach, Bucklands Beach area (Howick, Auck) FULL SIGNAL!!!

ockel: I'm curious. Are you saying that 2d 2G coverage in your area is better than VF 2G coverage?
Or that 2d 2G coverage is better than VF 3G coverage?
