I have ported 2 numbers across, both requested on a Sunday.  Even though it was sunday they were both transferred over within 2 hours.

Very impressed.

Yes, 2D is extremely quick at porting the num over. But it might take a day or two for the old SIM card to become disconnected.

Yeah 2D are very quick with ports, I requested one sometime after 830pm and got a txt at 130am the same night saying it was done so they must work 24/7.

I should point out though that porting is a business hours service. If you request a port outside business hours and something goes wrong with the automated process at either end, then you might end up with no service until the next business day.

Generally speaking though it works pretty well, though all carriers have the odd issue we're working through. There has never been so much porting activity in NZ as there is now...

I've ported to and from most of the main carriers, and I don't know of any that flick over this quickly.  I'm amazed that it is that fast.
