Maybe the strategy 2degrees chose is proving to work, by only providing for 1/3rd of the market and NOT overloading their systems; it is proving to be a better strategy than XT.

(I say 1/3rd because plans and data are now a vital part of any market mix.)

I have always thought of 2degrees first few months as a beta test. Data and plans are the next big areas to improve and you need to be reliable for that.

yes there is no direct question, it is just more of a random statement like a twitter post

i guess he is wanting to start a discussion on the pros and cons of 2degrees strategy so far and compare that to the strategy of XT, but even that isn't clear from the first post.

Would need to see a P&L statement before you can jump on the genuis strategy bandwagon.

Regardless of profitability, 2deg have attempted only basic services for the non-critical end of the market, and appear to have a fairly stable network. In comparison, Telecom say they are planning to build in their redundancy later and this appears to have been the wrong strategy since they have been trying to pickup more demanding business customers. 2deg say they are launching on-account services later.

Time to find a new industry!
