I made a call to Slingshot tonight.
Since changing over to their no capped plan my speeds have dropped to under dial up,about 30kbs.
On speaking to the Slingshot tech I made the comment that I was actually paying for Broadband and not Dial Up and that my boarder was getting faster connection speeds on his dial up plan with Woosh than I was with my Broadband connection with Slingshot.
Maybe those of us who are experiencing this issue should all make the same comment,or maybe Slingshot should offer us free Broadband if we are going to only receive dial up speeds

You are really just helping to keep their fridge stocked up with beer.
You should really just switch to a ISP that offers free beer with their plans, now that's a bonus, I don't know that many in NZ though.

When you say 30kb/s do you really mean 30kB/s?

Dial up on a good line runs at max of around 6kB/s
Where as I notice torrents run at about 30kB/s on slingshot which is 240kb/s
