Hey all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, didn't know whether to go 2degrees, or telecom.

I recently swapped my xt sim for a 2degrees sim during a recent promotion. I was told it would work in the MF636 that i've got. However each time it loads now it promptly crashes. My colleague who is also operating a Mac finds he gets the same result.

Is this Telecom developing software that crashes should someone else's sim card be used in it? If so does anyone have a work around?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rich

Hi there,

There could be a multitude of reasons as to why the software is crashing. When you mention it happens to your friend also, was this with your Telecom T-Stick or does your friend have their own which is doing the same thing.

If you haven't already done so, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the connection software and the T-Stick driver and having another crack at it. As a way to confirm whether your suspicions are correct or not regarding whether it matters if a XT Sim or a 2Degrees SIM is being used, the easy answer to that would be if you know anyone with an XT SIM, insert it and see what happens.

We certainly haven't come across to many issues using T-Sticks on our network. If all else fails, it is worth calling us on 0800 022 022 and lodging a fault so our technical team can have a look into it.

Chur all.

The other person we've tried it on is with their own MF636 and 2degrees sim and they get the same result.

I've reinstalled on several occasions.

I recently spoke with the call centre and they were unable to offer any pointers and are getting a guru to call me back.

RE the crashing, I get the attached screen shot.

Just retried one on mine tonite on a PC and it's fine.  PC software version T02.  Maybe there is something odd about the MAC software.  The only SIMs that I can't get to work are Vodafone.  They just won't connect..
