Call me blind but I cannot find these anywhere. For example, the $140 plan has the details, unlimited landline/mobile calls, 1000 Text, 250Mb Data, and it look like you can have 3 months free, OR a cheaper phone. My wife friend got quoted $450 cash bonus, but this appears to be the 3 month free as they credit that the give.

But I cannot see the ETF anywhere. The T+C state about ETF on a plan, but I look at the plan and nothing mentioned.

Any ideas all, how and where they state the ETF levels for breaking contract?

And the $149 plan on a 24 month term does come with $370 credit towards a phone or store credit vouchers http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/paymonthly/bonus but they're also doing a 3 months free deal.

So wouldnt it be better just to leave the mobile connected since you're still paying for a service you wont be using?

But it "shall not exceed $300/$500". So it does make sense to cancel early depending on your situation.

if you dont want to pay ETC's, then dont sign a 24 month contract. easy as that. (well, it is with 2degrees.... you really didnt have a choice in the past with other telcos)

XT has always had open term contracts (i.e. 30 day term), and both Telecom and Vodafone have had prepaid for years.

I do find it bizarre that 2D have brought in 24 month contracts. It was one of the things they specifically said when they launched that they wouldn't do.

Also the the difference is when 2Degrees have a promotion on i.e: Bonus Minutes. Your eligible for the promotion whether you sign in to a contract or not. With other telcos that has not been the case.

Well, that's simply not true (at least not always). We gave away bonus minutes before term contracts were even available.

for example, textanyone (the unlimited text promo) was available to anyone on postpaid ontracts, open term postpaid or even prepaid. same goes for $10txt back in the CDMA days.that was always a promotion, and always available to anyone whether or not they were on a contract or not.

and when you look at some of the other promos voda has done, some of them were only available to prepaid (i.e. no contract) customers.

Well, that's simply not true (at least not always). We gave away bonus minutes before term contracts were even available.

Salty, however many times I read that I still dont get what your trying to say. Please clarify?

I was thinking more along the lines of double minutes promotion. Sorry should of clarified

Well, simple really. You could have signed up to Pay Monthly in October and got Bonus Minutes with no term.

XT has always had open term contracts (i.e. 30 day term), and both Telecom and Vodafone have had prepaid for years.

I do find it bizarre that 2D have brought in 24 month contracts. It was one of the things they specifically said when they launched that they wouldn't do.

i never considered prepaid as viable option due to the ridiculous costs of calling... it was often double the price of any on-account plan minutes. while you might have been able to get open term contracts on XT, that wasnt the case prior from what i recall.

looks like 2D are moving away from that notion now too.
