Hi,

Not sure this is an Orcon issue but I didn't have the problem with my previous provider so it seems the 'best fit' as I've no idea what else could cause this.

I've recently fixed an issue with not having an open port to help my BitTorrent speed, however, whenever I start my client the http traffic stops after a few seconds (i.e. Torrents start, browser stops - kill torrents, browser can see the internet again). This was happening even before I fixed my port issues but I wasn't worried then; I am now.

I've only opened one port on the modem to allow BitTorrent traffic in and the client is happy with the port. Anyone have any bright ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks

PS. Orcon 5GB plan, Mac 10.5.8, Transmission and Netcomm NB14 if that helps

Sorry, my fault for not googling this correctly. Seems torrent client was flooding my connection. Reduced the download and peer connections and seems better.

Anyone know the best settings to use during 'peak hours'?
