antoniosk: Normally you hit the 'flash' button on the handset, then dial the number of the other phone.
But I don't believe they have setup extension dialling - because this is not a 'phone system' after all.
So long dial it is - but I don't recall seeing call transfer as a free feature either. Why would anyone want such an antiquated function?

ronw: It is a right pain. If the r phone rings and I answer downstairs and find call is not for me I should be able to transfer call to another extension elsewhere in the house. If it's a feature of DECT then it should be enabled

ronw: No have not seen it advertised but would have thought that such a faerie would be standard. What use it's a phone system with multiple extensions if you cannot switch calls between extensions

ronw: No out it's not the same as a pstn system. I used to have extensions in every room. If I answered in any room and wanted someone else to take call they could just pick up any extension and take over call but I cannot do that with Genius.
Splatty: I think people are misunderstanding what Ron is trying to achieve here. If you answer a call on one handset, and it's for someone else, you can't just tell the other family member to pick up the call on another handset like you do with normal phone lines. We're not talking about "transferring" the call as such. The call terminates the moment the handset that answered the call hangs up and the other handset doesn't connect to the conversation at all.
You therefore have to take the handset physically to the person, even if there is another paired dect handset sitting next to them.
It's a PITA when two people pick up the phone at the same time and the one that actually 'gets' the call hangs up, thinking the other has it.
