I have registered several domain names through ISERVE idm.net.nz on 31 Aug.11 and got emails from ISERVE regarding the application approval. I was supposed to have all these domain names listed on IDM so I can obtain nameserver info and be able to use them. But 5 days after registration, I couldn't find any of them listed on my IDM account. Then I sent them an email reporting the issue. I got an email from ISERVE  says the domains I registered not linked correctly to my primary account and asked me to provide all the domain names to them in order to get things done. I replied the email with the info they wanted. But since then I haven't got any response from ISERVE. I have sent them more than 5 emails and got no reply from them at all. I rang them twice, the answer was that they would fix the problem but wont tell me how long would it take to solve the problem or they would pass my message to someone who taking charge of it. But still now, I still couldn't use the domains I have purchased a week ago and received no response from ISERVE, no emails no phone calls ...

The questions are:

?? Is it a big problem technically?

?? Is it hard to reply my email to give me a little explaination?

?? I have purchased a domain name from Globat.com and after 24 hours everything was done perfectly and the price was cheaper then ISERVE. But why chooses ISERVE?? BECAUSE IT IS A NEW ZEALAND COMPANY! I know I made a mistake myself...

I am not happy with that...any one has same problem like mine?

You may not always get rapid response from here, it always pays to make sure you have a ticket number.
At the very least anyone trawling here could use that to make sure the fault is updated and tracked correctly.

Glad its working for you.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

FYI. If you do have problems with a registrar and you want to switch the domain, you are free to transfer your .NZ domain to any other provider at any time using your UDAI code, and the transfer takes place instantly. The registrar must provide you the UDAI in a timely manner too.

In this case the domains weren't .nz domains, however the same principle applies. mostly.

I am not sure i would say anything in DNS happens instantly, but it would be nice. Maybe using Tach Net transmission to distribute zone updates would be a useful next RFC;)

I am waiting for a ticket myself to be replied to for a support request that I sent yesterday. Strangely I didn't get any auto reply with a ticket number on it.

FrownI just checked my bank account and found I was overcharged by Orcon for the domains I purchased. I bought 9 domains in total, but I was charged 11. I am confused where the other 3 come from? Is it a system mistake? not likely... I have requested a refund, of cause i will get the refund...but...it seems like everything would go wrong with Orcon...another thing is that I had paid my previous bills, but the bill info shown on Orcon website was still overdue...hopeless...and I am speechless.Undecided
