Just for the info of the group I was out at Otatara today (just out of Invercargill) and come across a new cell site. Yes it’s a 2degrees site been build out in the sticks. As there’s no good coverage out there the locales will love it. I just hope they get 2degrees Mobile Broadband Zones down here soon.

CNR OF VYNER ROAD & TAIEPA ROAD INVERCARGILL (STH-075-006-B) - 2

Location ID: 43658
LicenseID: 147836
Freq: 18195.0

From the first photo we can clearly see this is right beside someones shed. This is clearly a malicious placement of the cell site, obviously this is part of the hidden conspiracy to devalue that shed!

Lol, seriously, it's only inevitable that someone complains. We should start a betting pool on these things

No! I like it here, much better than the other bridge I live under!

Edit: Opps hit the submit button before I was finished.

Anyway, It's good that 2° is expanding down south. Certainly we can see a pattern, massive expansion right now, and imminent launch of Smartphone friendly packages and a new line of phones (including the Galaxy S2 and possibly Windows Phone 7)

No doubt someone will complain it's giving them cancer or giving them headaches because they're allergic to the magic radio signals.

They would argue that they are already competitive... I'm only on the $59 plan because I get 1GB National data :o)

Yeah that plan is nice, but not many people spend that much on a smatphone plan. $40 is the high bar

Actually, it's right next to the 33 kV substation and a decent distance from any houses.

The operator config file on the LG Optimus 7Q tends to support that "possible Windows Phone 7" on 2degrees.  I was surprised to find mine full of 2degrees MMS APN settings.

The HTC setting app has 2° in it as well. So all HTC WP7 phones can natively support 2°
