There doesn't seem to be any known outages/issues.....have you tried removing the battery from your phone (whilst the phone is on) for approx. 10sec? Alternatively if its an iPhone, hold the power and home buttons till the screen shows the little apple.

Try a network search and select 2Degrees or put it back onto Automatic network selection

Had you manually selected Vodafone? A fresh network search on Automatic or phone reboot should connect you to 2degrees. Sounds like a phone issue if your gf was connected ok.

PM me your # if you are still having issues.

Cheers

From all other posts i have read it is implyed that while in a 2d gsm zone voda deny roaming untill you are out of the 2d zone.
AND further to this while roaming i was un able to send text's.

i had to switch to airplane mode (IE Turn off the transmitter) and then back on to re-sync with the network, all on a 2d X5 i purchased 4 months ago (YES it is updated via online update)

So can 2DegreesCare give me a technical answer for this occurance and its failure to send text, even possibly deny sending or receiving calls

And i leave the phone on Auto for network Selection never been a problem since they launched.

2D would need to look at a live trace while the issue is happening or they are just guessing

Just wanted to report that I too have experienced this, a few days ago (not sure if it was the same day as the OP) in the middle of the night. I was in Riccarton. Not only was it on Vodafone network, it wouldn't access data despite me having a national data pack and roaming data enabled. An automatic network rescan fixed it immediately.

We get the same thing here in Napier both phone are 2D but sitting right next to me one will say it's roaming the other will say 2Degrees

and without moving them they'll skip between 2d Taradale South, 2D Greenmeadows and roaming on VF WTF

I had the same experience in Nelson a couple of months ago. I assume it's just a natural part of the optimisation process.

Hi, if it's still happening, can you PM your #, where and when it happened so we can check this out.

There may be spots where the roaming signal is stronger than ours and yours is connecting.

Cheers
