Hi Orcon helpers, I have not been receiving emails through to the home pc. They show up on-line (and I get my gmail, imap ones) but do not get orcon ones downloaded to home. There is also a period showing no internet usage on the usage page a few days ago. Not sure what is happening, can not get through to help desk so any ideas on what to do would be great thanks?

Just checked online and it will not even log me on now.

Also please change the hold music.

For missing data usage on their meter, restart your router.

What settings are you using for email ? Which client software ? Any errors ?

I'm having the same problem and i don't usually have time to sit on a phone for 45min like i did last time waiting for tech support.  The incoming pop3 mail server isn't working at all in outlook xp.  The online email system wouldn't let me login for a couple of days locking me out.  Extremely frustrating, i've been waiting on a job offer and my email account has been inaccessable.

Hi xpd,

I have restarted router yesterday and today, still no usage data. 26th Feb to 6th March.

Using thunderbird, pop3.orcon.net.nz.
No error messages at all. It shows the words connecting and the green bar moving then it just stops.

Have had no problems with the broadband connection otherwise.

Error message when trying to log into orcon website.

TBH I'd suggest against using ISP hosted email. Get a dedicated hosting company

Why do you say this?  Are you suggesting ISPs have poor reliability for email services?  I have 3 other email accounts but i always reserve my ISP email account for "my real name"@isp.co.nz which i normally use for employment related correspondance.  First time i've encountered a problem after prior years with Clearnet/Telecom/Slingshot.

I have the same problem with Internet usage, according to their meter I haven't used any data since 10/3.

My understanding is the mail issue is now resolved, if its not let us know.

Kiwimustang, if you can PM me your account details i can check the issue with usage on your account.
In the mean time restart your modem and let us know if that resolves the usage issue.

Thanks Paul for helping out. I turned off router again today and I am now receiving email. Still no usage showing on days outlined above.
