has anyone couriered one of these from the UK? How much does the units weigh including all the packaging? Currys has these for 45pounds($101NZD) but free UK only delivery. http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/753881 I have a sister there that can do the forwarding on to here.  MyMemory has these for 65pounds (146NZD) so maybe its easier going with them.

debo, unless you want to put someone thru the hassles of sending it over to you i'd recommend mymemory.co.uk with free shipping.  you can also try dvd.co.uk or amazon.co.uk but mymemory has free international shipping.  I have bought many blu-rays from them with no issues and always fast shipping (within a week).  Cheers.

I bought mine from Currys. I'd say it's worth it to save $30-40. But I don't have to get it shipped here which is the difference I suppose. I probably wouldn't bother otherwise. Still, I don't think shipping could be more than the $30-40, depending on the option you choose so you may still save a few bucks.

The retail packaging box itself is light and small. Bout 130 x 160 x 60mm and weighs like 500 grams, i dunno, am making this up, but yeah wouldn't cost b all to send. If you know someone over there who could on send it or bring it back then that's def the cheapest way to go. As others have said though, it's here quicker if you just get it shipped direct, even with a strike UK shipping is fast as to NZ.

In side the box is a dvd case with the install cd which you never need again, a standard usb cable and small booklet, a sticker for the bluray remote and the tuner device itself. The device is light as anything, has not switches or power transformer etc, it just has two sockets, one for usb cable and one for tv aerial.

Actually given you can get drivers for this tuner box for use on computer, makes you wonder if you could get a hold of the tuners cheap from somewhere and just borrow the disk to install the software?!

Jaxson: even with a strike UK shipping is fast as to NZ.

The strike action by UK Royal Mail workers has been suspended until Christmas, so the good news is that it wouldn't be a problem at the moment. And most companies use courier services rather than Royal Mail anyway, so they avoided the delays even during the strike.

Yes.. the unit is a standard Dual USB DVB-T device.. you can find the windows drivers easily on the internet. it even supported 100% on linux in the later kernels.

Thanks
