Similar, but i get an error saying that the video is unavailable.
Hi geekiegeek
This issue is faulted by TVNZ, I'll see if Freeview has taken further action to get TVNZ to solve this.
Formerly worked at iStore NZ (Rest in Peace), Sky Network Television, Freeview, Apple, Spark New Zealand Trading Limited, DISH TV Technologies.

Is this only a fault with the Dish TV boxes? My Panasonic has had no issues at all streaming from TVNZ Ondemand.
Is it just my set, but after the update, The guide access from the guide button on the remote and access by going to menu and EPG have swapped over. When I press guide now I access the on demand menu (smasller one at the bottom of the screen), and when I go to menu and EPG, I access the Freeview main screen guide, the same as my TV. I liked it better the original way around. I am using a Harmony 650 remote. Was this the intention of the update, will it be changing back, or will I have to somehow update the harmony remote.

me too same remote
I'm in the habit of turning off my modem in the evening, so I've particularly found it annoying that now when I access the guide I get a nag screen telling me the Freeview+ guide isn't available because my internet is offline, then eventually it goes away and shows me the regular guide. Very irritating.
Aaand.. me too. We were wondering about this but haven't gone looking in the settings to see if it is configurable which the EPG button fires. When you go in the menu you get the option of which EPG to use - Internet or MHEG=over-the-air/Freeview (except I thought there were three? - I don't like the Freeview+ EPG, the Dish TV one was better .. BUT we tend to use the old Freeview one because it was simpler and had 90% of the functions. All it lacks is search.

I have the same issue, I've been into the menu and changed it but next time I access the EPG it has changed itself back again, how to fix this please? My remote came with the unit and just says "aerialBox" at the bottom.

I have to agree. The guide that is now found from menu-epg-mheg epg, which used to be found on pressing the epg button is the one I would like to have on the epg button. Is there any way for me to change it back or do we need to pester aerialbox about this.

Taniachch: I'm sorry, just realised the quote before mine, said the same fix, just a little more technically, less newbie friendly! My apologies! New info then. I was told Freeview "is thought to to have" forced the change to Freeview Plus because noone was using it! That a lot of Dish TV staff personally don't like it either, (can't imagine why!), and that they are working with freeview to get a fix to bring up the old epg again. *Me paraphrasing, don't want to get anyone in trouble*. So, all good news to me, I mean sure, that epg is fine for when you're watching something and want to see what else is on now/next, but that's it. I've always preferred the old epg, about 5 hours at a time!
haha, no need to apologise. Always good when someone else explains it in a more user friendly way. :-)

its being pushed out by freeview so not much the manufactures can do
Is anyone else getting the sound cutting out completely after a period of time still?
I have had these issues since about day one, I made the mistake of buying the dishtv T2200 reconditioned version back in April, I very rarely use it now as it is so bad, I keep turning it on and hopeing the latest firmware will have fixed it.
How are dishTV for returns and what legislation should I quote to get this lump of crap taken back.

The problem is when I use the menu-epg-mheg epg, I get the programme list for the current channel, however when I use the right arrow button the epg jumps to channel 39-Dunedin Television, and then no matter left or right it stays there. The <>Chnl flickers each time I press the button but nothing happens. So the only really useful epg is totally broken at the moment.
I have tried unplugging the box and starting again etc, but the problem persists.
