joshhill96: We can't wait to show you our brand new units which have been built using information from our customers.

Why not put a little effort into 'supporting' current/older units?

Technology is the reason, at the time we released these products we were focussing on creating a unique product range for Freeview Customers, HbbTV was not a industry standard at the time. But new hardware and new technology is based on what Freeview provides as us to become HbbTV ready. Although it can be disappointing missing out on the latest services, we still support and will support for the life of our products regardless on how old they are.

ETA - both this issues look to be resolved with the 1.17 firmware

A couple of issues I have noticed with the satBox S8200:

When on a music channel, if you press the EPG button all you get is a black screen (with the music still playing); to fix you need to press a channel button to change to a actual TV channel and use the EPG

And when replaying something from the Library, if you press the Back button while fast forward then it keeps fast forwarding and you have top press the Stop button to get anywhere. Pressing rewind or play does nothing. I would have expected that pressing back whilst fast forwarding would have put you back in play mode.

My firmware updated to 1.17 (was 1.16) last night so unsure if this will fix the above issues.

Hi Josh,

Perhaps a slight hijack thread, but it is feedback and suggestion related.

I like the new recorder (2200) you have launched with the freeview plus catch up service.  I like the 1tb Hard Drive and the menu's, EPG and whole user experience looks vastly superior to my Panny - nice job!

So the clincher for me to buy one would be to have 3D playback either via a DVD or (a method I currently use) USB - I just plug an external hard drive in and it plays 3D MKV files, and if you can swing it 4k Upscaling - that way I can get the most out of my TV

Do-Able for the future?

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

With the firmware upgrade to 1.17 it looks like both issues I talked about above have been resolved smile

Great job guys

Future Products that we will be releasing will have the ability to do 3D playback but currently this new generation of boxes can't and we won't be able to add them on as features in further software updates. as 4k will progressively be a standard and with the rise of new UHD TVs in the market having 4K scaling will be an option in the next generation of units released by us.

Thanks for the feedback! Hope you enjoy the T2200 just as much as we do!

Went in the weekend as Jbhifi confirmed stock after I asked them to double check model.  Went in and and got disappointed, sales guy handed me a S8200.

That shouldn't happen! I'll make sure our retailers don't get confused between the two models. Return it back and ask for the T2200 model.
