I have spoken with the team and the issue is nothing to do with your unit, 
Broadcasters can control what content can be series linked or recorded or remove the entire recording feature from the Freeview EPG.

The best way is to timer record a programme which is unable to be booked from the EPG or contact the broadcaster directly to see if the issue is caused on their side.
