I have Sony TV with integrated Freeview and Panasonic twin receiver HDD/DVD recorder on UHF aerial.
How do I connect a satellite dish and satellite receiver with what I already have.
Thanks.

Connect in what way? You would typically install a dish and run a new cable run to the STB. Your current setup wouldn't be touched in any way.

If you want to share a cable run from the roof you'll need to install TV/Satellite diplexers at both ends of the cable run.

Sorry, should have made my question clearer. I want to receive both Satellite and Terrestrial on my single TV. I follow the diplexer method you mention but what happens at the TV - there is only one aerial connection. At the moment my aerial arrives at the Terrestrial receiver and then a connection to the TV aerial input. With the diplexer (or separate cable from sat) the aerial arrives at the Satellite receiver then a connection to where?
Thanks.

The cable from the satellite dish will connect to the LNB input on the satellite receiver.

You then connect the sat receiver to your TV with HDMI/AV cables - depending on what your receiver & TV require.

Have you got a satellite receiver?

TVs do not have satellite receivers built into them, so you need a Set Top Box (STB).

You would have a cable run from your satellite dish to the STB.

You would plug the STB into your TV via HDMI, Composite (Red, White and Yellow RCA) or Component cables.

Thankyou all. I follow now. TV has 4 HDMI inputs.

What are you trying to achieve with the satellite receiver?
