We had to retune our freeview tuners today, after the frequencies changed on the 19th June. However I am not able to pick up tv one, and two is quite pixilated. I do have a big aerial on teh roof, and also a small aerial on my computers tuner, and they oth have the same problem. Anyone else had problems after the 19th June freeview retune?

OK, repositioned my internal aerial to a higher position, and can now pick up tv1. But the signal is nowhere near as strong. May have to repoint the external aerial when the weather improves. Suspect there will quite a few people who are having signal issues tonight.

FYI - i am in hataitai valley which is outside their official coverage area.
definitely loss of signal strength  for TV3 and TV1.
I'll check connections though as the effect varies by TV set.

We have JCMatthew freeview box model DVB-TB01, this afternoon been "retune", all went well then switched off.
But switch on again this evening, showing "Updating" on top right corner of the screen (already half hour). Only showing Channel 2, cannnot use any buttons even to switch off again, unless plug out from the power.
Anyone has similar problem and solution... thanks

TV1 and TV2 are on the same MUX. Theoretically you shouldn't really be able to only pick up one of these, such an issue would possibly tend to indicate a device issue rather than a singal one.

Do you have any other devices with a RF modulator that you are looping the feed through?

I have the same issue on a tivo. 2 and 3 work fine but just a grey screen for 1. Need to have a closer look at it but having to work right now. I have direct, clear line of site to Kaukau so it shouldn't have any issues really.

After retuning the Freeview signal of Haywards is stronger than before: Strength 95% (except Prime 91%), Quality 100% - I'm in Trentham Upper Hutt.

There are some aerials out there optimised for the higher frequencies, so it'll be interesting to see overall how many experience issues.

It's working well for me - I could only pick up the TVNZ and TV3 muxes before - the kordia mux was impossible even on a new rooftop antenna with masthead amp. and the TV3 mux was a bit flaky. Now all three are rock solid, even on simple bunny ears in the upstairs bedroom.

One random thought, do you have a recent UHF aerial or are you using something that might not be optimised for the new frequencies?

Getting some reports of installations with poor response at the new frequencies but not many.

Mine is a tivo too, but it does seem to be fine now that I have moved the aerial. But I had the same problem with a Sony Tv tuner. I also went out and fixed the aerial one on my roof too, which is an older sky UHF aerial by rotating it a bit, and can now pick up 1 again. I am also in the hutt, so it seems there are a few people out there with similar problems in this area. The Ministry of Economic Development do have a freephone helpline open this week for this change.

When you triune TiVo, make sure you set it to forget previous settings, took 3 times to work it out
