There's a outage to Freeview UHF in Timaru at the moment.. I'm pretty sure it was caused by the electrical storm earlier today.

Everyone at Freeview and Radio Spectrum Management seems to be on holiday.
I called TVNZ, got nowhere, then called Mediaworks. They put me through to an engineering department somewhere, who said they would look into it and call me back :)

Anyone else experiencing issues?

Just had a call from MediaWorks - there is a contractor from the Timaru area enroute to the site to fix the transmitter.

well you can't complain about that.

Got some pretty serious rain fade on D1 in Dunedin, to the point of not being able to tune any channels during the storm. DVB-T was still working, but getting semi-regular artifacts where we live.

Quite the downpour

oh, came back about an hour ago... storm was short lived.

edit: but yeah, pretty serious lightning and thunder too.. and enough rain that it drove me outside to quickly clean out the trouble spots in the spouting.

Yes, same here.
I was able to retune in the old analogue chanels, so can still watch Prime.
