Hi All,
A mate of mine wants to get free view hd running at his place in Muriwai, the freeview site says it's unlikley.
Is their anyone who lives in the area that has Freeview HD working? and if you do, what aerial are you using i.e. how many elements and where is it pointing. thanks in advance

Looking the actual coverage map for Auckland, It looks like coverage fairly much dies as soon as you get off the Oaia Rd Ridge,

So I would say it is probably a no go, unless he is very close to the Oaia rd corner

Unfortunately he's not close to Oaia rd, so guess he'll have to settle for sd on the old sky dish or pay for mysky hdi.

Hi, yes it is possible to get DTT in Murawai with a specialised antenna called a DAT75, call Auckland Aerials who service this area and they should be able to help.
The maps given by Freeview are a good guide but it's always better in marginal areas to call in an expert, good luck.
