Hi

Hopefully I'm posting in the correct forum.

I purchased a Satmax HDS8106 satellite receiver off TradeMe (without user manual) and I'm unable to find how to do a blind-scan.
Is there a hidden menu to access this ? or does the Satmax firmware remove that option ?

The carton has a logo on the front with "Blind Scan" on it.
I have scoured the web in an attempt to find a user manual without success.
Maybe this a rebadged receiver - does anyone know ?

Thanks in advance
Ray.

Thank you for your suggestion Bigglz, which I did carry out, but so far I haven’t has a reply.
I checked the Satmax website and on the front page is the following note which probably explains the reason for lack of response.

To all of our loyal customers, we will soon be under new management. In the meantime, the office and showroom will be temporarily closed.  Please email any urgent queries to office@satmax.co.nz Or alternately browse our website to see if you can find the answer to your query. We are still able to process sales of stock through the website. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The founder of the company passed away last year, so Im guessing they are in transition mode to a new owner etc.

Thankyou bfginger for that information.
I'm sure it will be handy for any changes to the channels that happen in the future.

I have managed to get the settings from another receiver which is blind scan capable and have entered them into the SatMax box so I can watch the FTA channels.

Another reason that I wish to be able to perform a blind scan is to pick up the feeds that occasionally pop up.
And this unit is an HD satellite receiver so it allows access to Channel 9.

Thanks again
Ray
