Optus 10 at 164.00 degrees was launched yesterday.
According to Lyngsat.com , it has 24 ku-band transponders capable ot providing TV to Australia and New Zealand aswell as data etc .
Could anyone with a movable dish please report if anything useful can be received in NZ in the coming weeks/months.
Cheers.

Its only been up 5 minutes it won't even be on the arc yet. Usually they park the satellite near to where it will be located  e.g @ 164E. Do testing for a couple of weeks, then move it into place and do an overnight service swap over.

Does this mean that initially the feeds from Optus B3 could be the first to be moved across to Optus 10?

What is tge ?
I used to get more Aussie channels until December 2013 when C1 was decommissioned .
I now get Channel Nine Sydney on D1 plus occasional feeds, D2 feeds occasionally , D3 Optus test and Sky NZ test backup plus the FTA ku channels on Intelsat 19.
I do not subscribe to any pay TV channels.
Cheers,

Fairly sure C1 has not been decommissioned, just broadcast content changed.
