I'm looking to buy an xcruiser xdsr600hd, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them.
My main question is around it's network capabilities. If I have it on the network, can another TV also on the network play stuff recorded on it (almost treating it like a nas).
If not, can I copy the files from it onto a nas and then have another TV play it?

I've read some stuff about encryption, and wondering if streaming across a network is possible or if stuff recorded on it has to be played through it, on a TV plugged into it.

The Panasonic Freeview PVRs will stream across the LAN.  Not much good if you don't have terrestrial freeview, sorry

Last time I looked at major brands they seemed a little average. Must have improved since then so will have another look. Thanks

The XDSR 600 can be accessed from a network capable device via its IP address, you can also record shows onto a NAS drive if you really want to.

It has DLNA sharing and the Xcruiser will show up as its own DLNA server. Which you can choose as a source.

Also it supports Airtivi+ for playback and control on PC, Android and IOS devices.

Yes I bought one from JX antenna and Network. There is also a write up about it in their tech section. I run mine using a NAS system which they set up for me. Also run DLNA, so can see each others hard drives with out a central NAS computer. I prefer the NAS option as I can record to it.
