How do you access the Freeview|HD test channel?

I'm using dvbviewer, and a scan finds mulitple signals for the TV channels, but I do not see one for the test channel.  Can anyone offer me any advice or guidance?

Are you getting Maori TV or Parliament TV at all? The HD channel is on the Kordia MUX which also carries these channels (as well as a few more). If you aren't getting either of these then you're obviously not getting the MUX.

Yep, I'm getting both Maori and Parliament.

In fact my initial scan found 78 channels.  They were just repeats of all the channels, and all appeared to provide a picture at the same quality.  But I cannot find the test channel.  What is it called?

As you said the channel is called " Freeview|HD" it is toward the bottom of the Kordia mux.

Hmm, I don't think I see this option.  I'll do another scan tonight and see what I can find.

No luck I'm afraid.  I rescanned the channels and found the original 78 again.  But there was no Freeview|HD listing in the grouping with TV3, Maori TV etc.

What am I doing wrong?

I scanned and found it last night about 9:30 from wairatrua, so its definably there.

Will try again when I am out in the loft on the desktop machine again.

My one picks it up OK with the same card as yours. Although it won't actually tune to the channel unless I turn Vista renderer off...
But mine doesnt pick up 78 - it picks up 17 (in Auckland).
It should just show up in the channel list below some Reserved channels.

Does anyone know then why I am picking up 78 signals?  They are all repeats of the standard Freeview|HD channels plus a couple of the reserved channels.

What freqs are you seeing the channels on? Its possible you are getting waiatarua, remuera and te aroha coming in in your antenna.

I'm not at my HTPC at present so I can't say.  But I live in St Marys Bay with clear line of sight to the Sky Tower (and most of the CBDs buildings, and Rangatoto, and Ponsonby...)  So very central, so it is probably why I am getting all signals.

Except for the damn test channel!!!!!
