Is it just me of does the online Freeview website just suck. I don't have a problem with the layout or anything like that just the access. Half the time the latency to it is really bad and then when on it nothing works a lot of the time.

Yeah I am taking about all the time not just tonight, Seems to be very laggy 90% of the time I go to look at it.

I have only been trying it for a week since cancelling our Press subscription.

 

Been trying a few of the TV guide sites to get one that I like. Freeview is probably the best i have found, but is very sloooooow!

Was the site ever used as an EPG data source? Perhaps it is under attack by a barrage of rogue scraping scripts.

About 7 or 8 years ago it did host some XML files.

 

There is no need for screen scraping or XML for EPG data files these days with any half decent TV app supporting MHEG5 and/or EIT.

 

I'm still surprised people look at it so often. The last time I looked at their site would have been a few years ago.
