Most (if not all) freeview units seem to have a UHF passthrough connection on the back. I've read a few of the manuals online and one thing isn't clear - will this pass the whole UHF signal, or just the digital frequencies?

The reason I ask of cause is I want to know whether I would need to split the signal before the unit, or can I daisy chain freeview into recorder/TV for analog channels.
