Hi all,
Am having several problems with my recently built Mediacenter that I just can't seem to fix. Firstly I just can't get Mediaportal to play DVB-T channels in the client. If I'm lucky I may get DVB-S working but thats about it. The only times I've got it to work is when previewing the channels (both DVB-T/S) in MP Server. I'm currently watching dvb-T on DVBViewer but I can't go from a dvb-t channel to a dvb-s channel. It will only do one or the other and prob only does each after a restart. Surely I can switch between the two without having to exit the application.

Mediacenter setup:
Vista SP1 (will be installing XP Pro soon also so I can use a certain application with my Pixelview BT878 tv card)
Latest mediaportal
Cyberlink 8 h.264 codecs etc..
asus 9400GT silent gfx card
Albatron K8sli-am2 mobo w AMD 5200+ Cpu
640gb sata hdd.

Some other problems I'm just going to put out there are:
All system fans keep going after putting pc in stand by (are fine in hybernate)
After adding the vista pc to the network all net traffic seems to be going slow for the rest of the machines (nothing is downloading(or anyother traffic present) on Vista machine)
Am using a MS Ver.2 Remote - would be keen to find out if I can take the machine out of stand by with this (wireless mouse and keyboard seem to be able to)
Once I've got everything working stablely I hope to have the pc turn on and automatically start Mediaportal.

Any help is really appreciated.

I plan on reinstalling the tv card/drivers tomorrow and also reinstlaling mediaportal to see if that gets any where :-/

Thanks,

Matt

Just on this one, sounds like your machine is configured to go to S1 state not S3. ACPIStates
Normally it's a bios setting.  But S3 is a bit harder to get working properly..but your milage may vary
