ok first youll nedd handbrake and vlc player installed and DGAVCIndex and avsscript and vdub and Avidemux 2.4 Qt4 google them then open DGAVCIndex and copy it to c; then open program then open ts and cut part like 1 sec save to folder in c; called vid and save as c4 then open notepad then copy this in

LoadPlugin("C:\DGAVCIndex\DGAVCDecode.dll")
AVCSource("C:\vid\c4.dga")

make shore both those file are in those folders then save as videos.avs and change to all files hit save and then open vdub and then drag the avs file it to it it will open file in 4.3 go to filters and add nill tramformer and then click ok then click crop crop then open handbrake  and add the ts choose were to save it save as avi and were it says auto crop and numbers from vdub and  choose xvid and bitrate and then choose 128kbps mp3 audio 160kbps if a music video then choose a good screen size must be smaller then after crop and mod16 eg squar should be 528x400 or 512x384 for nz 4.3 videos ws should be 640x352 if music video make it bigist size you can then hit convert wait after dont open  Avidemux 2.4 Qt4 then open the avi video and then cut in the leave the video as copy and audio as copy and the save the videos to filename.avi and your done video will have synced audio and look great

this is a long way of doing a video if anybody know a nother or better way to convert a video from dvb-t nz would be great thx  hope this help

i had a play with this again last night using TV3+1 footage.  Using MediaCoder, it would double the clip, no matter what I did. It worked fine last year. 

I'll try handbrake and see how that goes.

Handbrake version SVN 1913 (it's a little outdated, but it's the one I've been using for a while) works fine. I haven't tried the latest version, but I assume it will also do it.
