Just wondering if anyone on the North Shore (Auckland) has a spare DVB-T box I could borrow for a day ?

I want to see if we can even get DVB-T before going out and buying a box.... Ive read that if you get an OK Prime signal that you should get DVB-T - we use to get OK Prime and then one day it just stopped - all other channels still coming through fine.

Or else Ill have to stick to looking at a DVB-S box.

TIA

Why not simply purchase a box from DSE? $299 for a box that works well and the option to return it to the store if it does not work for you.

There are some cheaper brands available on Trademe, but one in particular is definately worth avoiding and by the importers account needs and excellent signal to perform adequately.

Seems to me DSE is your easiest way to go and cheaper all round when you look at cost plus time plus effort scenario.

Cheers DB

Can you get Triangle TV?, that is also on UHF on the Shore, I think 1-4 are all VHF.

When your prime disappeared, did you investigate the cause?, It may have been your UHF aerial or connector pegging out, if that was the case you won't get DVT.

Didnt think of DSE, thanks for that :)

Wellygary, checked all the connections, all ok. We had Prime, then got Sky Digital installed, then removed Sky digital after about a year - since then, no Prime at all. (sounds a bit sus dosent it ;) )

I keep emaning to goto the neighbours and see if they get Prime.. will add to my reminders now to do that this weekend :)
