Has anyone tried the TF7700HSCI Mpeg-4 HD Sat receiver? It does SD and HD from satellite, USB PVR and HDMI 1080i output.

They are priced at $599 at the moment at www.freetv.co.nz and look good.

Any comments or reviews?

Looks interesting and found a review here: http://www.techwatch.co.uk/2007/05/09/topfield-tf7700-hsci-is-a-winner/

I don't understand how the 'powers that be' can charge so much for a single tuner, 2+ year old unit!

The KSC-N660H2 Dual Tuner PVR with HDMI is $599 too: http://www.dtvs.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=63

Although I don't have much info. on this box.

Yeah I'd go the hyundai or a twin tuner unit over that particular model.
It is a good brand though, don't get me wrong, just a bit pricey for what you actually get IMO
