There was an Over-The-Air update for my Zinwell 620HD yesterday (Monday 21st). Only had one like this before which was mid 2008.

The current version is 1.2.0

Does anyone know what is in this update or how to find out?

I couldn't find much on the interweb..

One I installed yesterday kept on reporting that there was new software even though it had updated to this lattest firmware, anyone else noted this annoying feature. I presume once the update stream is removed from the mux it will stop this, but very annoying.

Are you sure it updated? Just I know three people, plus myself and all updated fine, none of them are reporting update available after being updated.

Well it reported that the firmware was the current one, but unless I said NO it kept posting the request to update every 5min. On the first update activation it seemed to be doing the right thing and rebooted itself after about 5min of freeze.

Same update with my DSE STB. No idea what the changes were - except it wiped my settings so I had to go and reset the audio preferences etc.

I noticed a lot more noise in the picture than before.
With the previous version I only occasionally had a picture break-up when a car would drive by. And that only with some cars.

Love to get the old version back!

This is on a DSE G7503 receiver with now version 1.2.

Getting a "No Channels Available" after my "upgrade" and haven't heard back from Next yet. These boxes are bit of a thing of the past anyway - better off just using a PC and USB tuner.

I am running a TV card and the DSE receiver from one aerial.
The aerial is amplified.

Could the STB need more signal after the upgrade?
I'll disconnect the TV card and see what happens.

Got that too. Hit menu, go to installation, then auto scan.
All the channels should come up after that.
After that you'll probably need to put volume back up etc, as in my case it lost all it's settings.

Did another scan and all is well after that.
It must have picked up the wrong frequency the first time.
No more picture break ups now. The signal strength was a red herring.
1.2 has my blessing!
