I'm having an issue with FreeviewHD where I'm losing the picture, tonight the screen has gone blank 3 times. This has been happening randomly for a while now, I lose the picture a few times in an evening and then it's fine for anywhere from a couple of days up too a couple of weeks till it happens again. If I unplug the HDMI cable at either the tv or Freeview stb end and plug it straight back in the picture reappears. I've got 2 HDMI cables (1 x Philips which I paid $15 for on special down from $50 and 1 I got from the computer shop for $20) and it does it on both. I've always been of the opinion that HDMI is a digital signal so any cable should do the job over the 1.5m that I need it to travel but should I invest in a bit dearer cable??? Any suggestions on what the issue is would be much appriciated.

Your cables are fine.

What freeview STB receiver are you using?
