I recently purchased a LCD with an in-built Freeview receiver.  I use to have Sky digital, but went to TelstraClear cable.  The Freeview site states you can use your Sky digital satellite to pick up the Freeview signal via a single power pass splitter (1 output to the receiver and the other to the Sky decoder).  My question is now that I'm without a Sky decoder, could I use my TelstraClear box to power the satellite and get my Freeview feed?  Has anyone done this?  Cheers

No.  Satellite and Cable are two different technologies.  The cable box will not power your dish.

BTW: I think you're mistaken anyhow.. TVs with a built in freeview reciever are DVB-T (Aerial on Roof) not DVB-S (Satellite Dish).

Appreciate the reply.  I guess I'll have to look at an UHF aerial then.  Cheers
