I just installed the above card. I am getting 100% signal, 0% quality, from Prog Satellite Finder. This card is a replacement card for an Avermedia that was doing something similar, although it was getting only 72% signal strength on average.

I have had a technician replace the LNB and he confirmed 100% signal strength and 100% quality. He also tested a Sky box which was picking up 100% strength and 100% quality. So I do not think there is anything wrong with the satellite, lnb, or cable running to the card.

I have selected the correct satellite (160 degrees east, Optus D1), and the correct LNB setting of 10750. I have also put in the transponder settings for Freeview.

Does anybody have any ideas? I cannot figure this out - I have tried two separate cards each with their own Windows 7 drivers and neither is picking up the stream.

Please help

You haven't got a 22khz tone switched on in the settings by mistake maybe?

Nope. The frustrating thing is I have looked through all the settings very carefully dozens of times and I cannot work this out!

Yet the fact that this is happening on two separate cards makes me think it is a software issue.

You positive you've got the correct LNB settings? 11300/11300/11300 is common here in NZ.

My LNB is 10750 - as are all the recent Sky dish LNB's.

try:

Dish:10750000,10750000,127500000 (for epg collector)

LOF 1 = 10750
LOF 2 = 10750
LOF SW = 12750

worked for me

This doesn't explain why it's not working but be aware that there is no stanard way for drivers to report signal strength/quality some don't report signal strength only quality. So your probably seeing quality being reported as strength and 100% can just mean there there is a "lock" on the sat.
