Going off the spec's it looks like it should work however it may only allow certain Satellites in the software or something so you are not going to know unless you can check with the manufacturer.

Hi,

The Elgato Netstream Sat can receive NZ Freeview channels with one important proviso: You must have a 9.75/10.6 Ghz LNB installed in your satellite antenna. The  9.75/10.6 Ghz LNB is known as a "Standard Universal LNB" and is very common Europe.

The Netstream Sat does not have any settings to enable it work with other LNB local oscillator frequencies.

If you use the Netstream Sat with the commonly found in NZ 10.75 GHz LNB you will not be able see the Freeview, just encrypted Sky channels.

I did have trouble sourcing a 9.75/10.6 Ghz LNB, but found that Jaycar has suitable LNBs if you ned one. Its their Catalogue No. LS3320

Once I changed the LNB over the Netstream Sat worked perfectly.

Hope this helps,
Dave
