Hi

I live on the Northshore in Auckland and receive freeview TV via UHF.

Within the last couple of months (from about October I think) receiption of TV1 and TV2 has slowly degraded to the point where they are now unwatchable.

TV3 is fine my Tele reports a good to strong signal strength but with TV1 and TV2  my Tele reports low signal strength.  For the last couple of years I could receive TV1 and TV2 without any problems, it just suddenly started to degrade.

I am able to receive clear analog TV1 and TV2 however I have never been able to receive Prime TV or some of the other channels.  I also used to able to receive TV 6 and TV7 but now I cannot.

Has something changed with Freeview recently or do you think perhapes my arial has moved?

Thanks in advanced

I can't help you except to say that TV One, TV 2, TVNZ 6 and TVNZ 7 are all on the same mux. If you can fix TV One and 2 then you'll get 6 and 7 back too. My guess is that your aerial has gone out of alignment or your cabling needs replacing...

Trees grow in the way and mess it up.

If you have no prime you prime analog you might be off the skytower, which is really really really weak, so checking the antenna isnt now blocked and the wires are all still attached etc is a good first step.

The TVNZ mux broadcasts on a lower frequency than the others so it doesn't make alot sense for you to be having problems with it while having no problems with the other two. The only obvious thing I can think of is somehow your Freeview device is tuned into two different broadcast towers - one for TVNZ and another for the other two.

Try a manual retune and failing that take another look at your aerial
