Can anyone help me out: my DTVS receiver is saying "no signal." What does that mean (besides the obvious) & how do I go about fixing it?
[based on the assumption that it all worked fine yesterday, and this is a new problem]
step one, check all the wires and plugs you can see, -if fault continues power cycle the device -if fault continues, Get ladder and go and inspect your dish, ( has not been blown around by wind, angle bolts have come loose etc)- - If fault continues,
Think about spending some money and have a real repair dude come have a look at it.
dnn: Did you find out the prob? I just plugged one of these in and haven't got signal either...
If it's the first time you've used it on this dish it may be your LNB settings that need to be changed. Access the setup menu and find the LNB frequency setting. If it's 10750MHz try 11300MHz, (your dish may have an old LNB). Caught me out first time I set-up Freeview for my parents!
