A while ago I updgraded the firmware on my Ultraplus F9000HD. The description of the update
said "File Delete Improved". It was V1.09.20 at that stage. It also required the updated
loader v1.54. Once I did the upgrade I noticed that deletions were not working correctly.
I went back a previous version and loader v1.23. This version had the problem also.

I reset the box to the factory defaults and formatted the internal HDD hoping that it may
have been a permissions problem.  Still no joy.

If I turn the box off and restart it the problem is resolved, from my observations, until
it has recorded something. Then the problem comes back.

I found a You Tube post that shows the problem I am having.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAYjZrlqIWs

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any ideas of a solution?

Thanks.

Keep an eye on it.  It wasn't immediate the problem I am having. I will be interesting to know if it starts happening to you.

I still had loader v1.23 when I updated the firmware to V1.09.20.  With this firmware I had the file deletion problem.  When I saw Freeviewshop had the v1.09.35 firmware and it described as improving file deletion, I decided to upgrade to that.  Since I had upgraded to v1.09.20 previously this time I had to update the loader to v1,54.    I updated the firmware then to v1.09.35 and apart from no picture until after a couple of turn on and off at rear switch, all is fine.  I can now delete programs fine.  I recorded sbsone  ,and can still delete other recordings.   I wasnt able to check the youtube link you posted the other day as at that time it said video deleted.  But yes firmware v1.09.35 is working fine so far.  I will try file copy today

ok thanks for getting back to me on that and for trying a recording of one of the Oz channels. I might try the updates again as with the other updates the first time I switch it on and it upgrades it gets some error and then restarts.  It I can get it to upgrade and come up first time maybe it will be fixed.

Hi there, I have the same file delete issue since upgrading my FS9000 and turning the unit off is the only way to get it to a point where it will delete programs once rebooted. loader 1.54 FS V1.09.35.

I am a little reluctant to reinstall stuff and am more hoping an update will be posted that sorts the issue.

Hi, thats the same loader and firmware I have.  So far still all good and cant fault it.  I had where I couldnt delete files with v1.09.20 but  all good with v1.09.35.   Maybe I am just lucky this time.  Time will tell if it stays this way

Hi there, funny enough mine seems to stop the problem now, seem to be able to delete files just fine without having to restart the unit, have recorded numerous times since my posting to this topic and been able to delete. I wonder if in some way restarting the unit over time eventually resolves the issue, not sure how this would be, but that is the only thing I have done to it!!

Still has to be said, this for me was (fingers crossed) has been only a small issue in what is really a great piece of equipment.

Hi, after you had updated, did you go into settings and do a factory reset.  A while ago I had file copy problem and it was still there after an update.  Ultrapower who post here time to time said to make sure do a factory reset after updates.  Full changes dont seem to take effect until after a reset.

Hi. I re-installed loader 1.54 and v1.09.35 about 5 days ago and so far no problems.  I did not do a factory reset after this latest update, but I had done one previously with these versions of the firmware.

Hi. is   yours so still working fine.  Last night I went to delete a file and was back to sqaure one and it wouldnt delete.  I looked on Freeviewshop site and the latest is now v2.09.61.  quite a jump so I have installed that and all working fine again.  Hopefully this fixes the problem
