Just looked on the EPG of C4 (Both Platforms)

Looks like Media Works has cancelled some popular shows on C4

Big Breakfast and Twice as Nice has been slashed

Only 2 shows broadcast each day:

1. C42
2. Blender

Possible answers:

1) Holidays?
2) Not making money, hardly anyone watching, dropped to low cost operation, maybe the channel will be ditched in the future like Stratos was.

3. Getting ready for new owners.

"TPG makes moves on Media Works

US private equity player TPG Capital is vying for control of troubled Media Works, which owns TV3, TV4 and several radio stations. It's understood it has already bought $70 million of debt in the media firm, which is owned by the much-smaller Ironbridge Capital. TPG has hinted it is interested in acquiring all of Media Works' nearly $400 million debt, which is held by a group of banks. If successful, the US firm - which has about US$48 billion of investment under management - could restructure the media firm, pay down its debt and end up owning it for less than half the price Ironbridge paid."

I see tv3 have lost wipeout too, as it is now on tv2. Or perhaps it is on both channels. Although tv2s programming during primetime is now largely mindless reality programs like that.

The lack of ads could point to the reason for the schedule change...

I believe Media works is making profit because of their TV3+1 service, It would be a good time for Media works to add another channel to balance the income

They should put c4 on sky. Give some competition to Juice!

I thought Juice had plenty of competition from the 2 MTV channels just before it

Its Competition now because Juice has gone Digital all together, when it was broadcasting to NZ homes they have a minor competition to C4 but then no longer. I find Juice TV more interesting than C4, due to the shows being played scrambled 24/7.

Personally I prefer the scrambled 24/7 music model, as the structure of c4 often put me off it. When a specific artist came on for an hour I would turn the TV off (One artist gets boring very quickly)
