I'm intrigued as to why they are still going. I would think they would be trying to abandon ship...

No, since I have had a ticket + 2 cancellation requests in the system for about that long now.

Also is that from Melanie or Caleb? I've seen Melanie's name prior to the fiasco and, since they say they have given the management and support a overhaul, I'm surprised (well, actually maybe not) to see either of their names still.

I suspect that what has happened is that Melanie has responded, but isn't aware that the 24/7 ticketing system is sending out "Caleb" on the signature?
From what I've heard Caleb has left the building - although we really don't know exactly what's going on.
Voyager would like to re-enable access for the new "management team" to 24/7's Wholesale Domain account with Voyager, however at this stage we haven't, because we've had three different parties wanting access and claiming ownership of the business, and therefore we want definitive proof of business ownership before we give anyone access in case Caleb DOES come back on the scene and sues us for "giving away" his business to the wrong party. It's a mess.
In the meantime, Voyager can still help with UDAI's etc if people want them.
It's a good sign that someone is answering tickets again at least, so hopefully this will get resolved soon.

You're right Seeby - its a total screw up.

You probably would know - "apparently" you rang Caleb - did you actually speak to him? The fact that no names have come out or any genuine authentication suggests that unless someone has actually spoken to somebody, it's possible they are all the same person (like danielwd said).

The fact that their site allows people to still sign up is criminal.

Well apparently my email issue cant be resolved until their competitor Voyager unlocks afffordable domains...according to Ashley:) I would love to access my mailbox to retrieve all my important client orders but I am not holding my breathe..

Hmm - I'm not at all impressed by their wording there "we are locked out by our competitor Voyager" - whilst true in the most literal sense, we are very keen to get them back up and running, but are dealing with the issues outlined above.

I tried for a month to talk to Caleb and couldn't get any response at all, then their 0800 number was cut off. That's when Voyager decided we needed to make an announcement as we were getting hammered with customers contacting us directly as the Registrar of the domains.

I still haven't been able to talk to Caleb - I have heard from Mel and a few other people. It seems that Mel is the one who is going to be taking over the business, however we're waiting on appropriate paperwork to prove she has authority to act..

I doubt there is a real new owner. If there was they would be announcing who they are and what their credentials are. Doing something to restore confidence and stem the flow of customers.

The email response I got this week to one of my old tickets said their domains would be 'released' again to them by the 6th and I would then be able to access my email. Totally unsurprisingly it has not been done...and that their website is down...

You need to contact the registrar of your domain. 24/7 aren't actually a registrar so all the domains they are managing are registered somewhere else. I did a search for my domains on http://whois.domaintools.com/ and found they were registered at voyager / 1stdomains. I opened a support ticket with 1stdomains who were helpful, and emailed my UDAI keys to the "registrant" email address they have with the domain record.

If you still have ftp access you can download your site onto your pc, and if you have cpanel still, you can export your database. I'd hurry though, the ship seems to be sinking pretty quickly.
