I'm looking for a web host that offers linux servers with PHP 5 + XSLT support.

Something cheap would be good - just need it for some experiments that I'm doing (and I don't feel like setting up my own server).

Any ideas? A US based server would be ideal and I don't need much space or bandwidth.

Hi Nigel

I've been experimenting with DreamHost for some personal projects.  Very impressed with the space, speed and the console panel is one of the best I've used.

They support PHP5 and XSLT - see here: http://blog.dreamhosters.com/kbase/index.cgi?area=1117

If you do signup PM me so I can give you my email address - it'd be nice to get the referral :)

i use the tiny plan from http://asmallorange.com/services/hosting/ for my band's website. it is $25 US a year for 75 MB space, 3GB traffic per month. i use php5 for that, and i assume xslt would be fine. i've been happy with the hosting for every site i have had there.

XSLT is usually handled by the browser as opposed to a web-based engine these days anyway.

I use Dreamhost for my personal sites, and while they're certainly not the best out (you'll find a lot of hate for them around the internets), for the low prices they offer an exceedingly good service.  They also have wikis and such full of user-driven documentation on how to do all kinds of things, and they support a wide array of services (I've got RoR working now <3).  The thing I like the most about them though is that they're fairly open about faults - when something goes wrong, they post about it and admit to it, instead of covering it up like most companies.

<3 Dreamhost.
