I'm intending to move my small eCommerce website away from Open Host after multiple downtimes.

I have been considering freeparking.co.nz as my hosting provider, can anyone recommend them? Or can you recommend another New Zealand Hosting provider with servers based in New Zealand? Your help would be much appreciated.

Yup would suggest Sitehost.

BTW I heard Freeparking was being dropped or sold off by ICONZ?

Mothership are good too. Depends if you want Sitehost's custom control panel, or cPanel (both have their merits!)

I would prefer cPanel since I had previous experience in using it, instead of learning how to use custom control panel.

how about a SaaS offering that will handle all the ecommerce and hosting bits for you, and at a reasonable all-up price?  check out https://www.storbie.com/ (previously smallfish) run by some kiwi's including Shane Bartle

Didn't know they had changed their name, I quite liked the old one. It is a very nice system, and looks like they have improved it recently with responsive design. I have met Shane a number of years ago ago, he is the guy who fronts the heat pumps ads. When I looked at it, they didn't offer a white label solution which is what many developers like, so they can support and bill customers directly. I am not sure if they do support white label now, but many companies who get a website built and don't want to do the DIY approach, like to only deal with a single company.
