HBIT is a random (small) group of people who meet semi-regularly in Hawkes Bay to have a quiet beer, plate of wedges, and some good conversation.

Tonight, we are meeting from about 6pm (generally till around 8pm or so) at the Gin Trap in Ahuriri. If the Gin Trap happens to be closed, then I am sure the Ale House, Thirsty Whale or somewhere else will be open.

I can provide transport between Hastings / Napier for a limited number of people if needed.

You are politely requested to join our mailing list if you want to come along on a regular basis. ([un]subscribe on our page)

Its not cliquey, and you don't have to be a super-geek to come along. Its basically a bunch of people with varying amounts of IT knowledge, including people just starting out in the industry (or an IT-type job in another industry).

Meetings are quite small at present, with around half a dozen attendees for each of our first two meetings.

If you want to come along, look for me (if you know me), and/or call/text me on 0274364489.
