We have a 2019 Remote Desktop Server, and I'd like the connection to use the credentials the user is logged onto the domain with to log onto the RDS without having to enter their password again.

Everything I read about doing this talks about RBWeb and RD Gateway, but in our case all connections are from with the local network (or over a VPN) so the users just connect directly to the session host - and for simplicity I'd prefer to keep it that way if possible.
