How long is a piece of string?
It really depends on the functionality of the site, if you want to tie in accounting and stock levels - it really is dependent on how complex the final site will be.
Add to this your hosting costs - if you are planning on supporting thousands of customers, your infrastructure will be very different from supporting a few hundred customers.
