HI there,

I am part of a community group which is made up of members and Team Leaders. We are looking for a website service (a bit like Google Groups I guess) where we can create our own space and disseminate information. The only catch is that we also want our members to be able 'log in' to their own page, update their contact details, post news, send requests for items etc.

Only the Team Leaders should be able to see each members' details - the member themselves should only be able to see (and update) their own information.

Does anyone know of a service where you can set up something like this? I looked at Google but it seems that it is just one big open space - each member doesn't have their own area which is hidden from others.

Any ideas? Free or otherwise.... Even considered creating my own database and learning how to create a site using Visual Studio Express - but by the time I learn to do all that, I'll be past it! I use WSS 3.0 at work and that could be quite good - it allows you to create lists where users can only see their own posts/items - this would be ideal for keeping contact details up to date etc.

OR, If anyone knows of another way to tackle this problem, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

Of course, verbalising things helps alot...I've just Googled 'Sharepoint hosting' and got a few options - but if you have any specific recommendations please let me know.

Thanks.

Your best bet is proberly to contact a webdesign company and get them to code you one.

Otherwise look at some of the free CMS scripts out e.g jaloom, Im sure Ive seen a plugin that allows you to do what you want to do.
