Hey,

I've been playing around with Good Barry http://goodbarry.com. I liked the idea of integrating CRM to the website and adding some work flows.

Although it's reasonably simple as a non developer I have hit a few road blocks. Just wondered if anyone else thought it was good, bad or indifferent and whether it is worth persevering.

Neil.

Cheers,

Neil.

Interesting solution but like any all in one solution there will be limitations to what you can and can't do.

Read the comments section in this review here near the bottom you get some good recent real world opinions on the pro's and cons of the system.

It seems it is a) expensive b) has the kind of customization limitations any site builder type product has c) support response times are not ideal

Hey Ragnor,

I don't agree that it's expensive. Have you looked for a SAAS CRM system lately or an email marketing system? If you start adding those costs in I don't know how you could do that for under $100 per month, especially for multiple users. I just had a look at Salesforce.com and there is a big jump up if you want to use their platform to build an integrated online business. Having said that It did look very powerful.

Anyone got experience developing on Force.com?

The on off support support and the lack of getting the basics right is a worry, I've only put one support question in and they got back to me and pointed me in the right direction. Would give me a bit more confidence if there were some more Kiwis with experience.

Anyone else have experience with an integrated Web, ecommerce, CRM, email marketing type platform?

Cheers,

Neil.

We are using http://www.campaignmonitor.com/ for email marketing, they are the gold standard in that area currently in my opinion.

Spend a little bit of time evaluating SaaS CRM systems awhile back and I didn't really settle on one I liked outright they all seemed to have a lot of niggles.  Still evaluatring.
