For you web developers out there... I'm currently doing a web project at the moment (well project managing it), and was wondering what advertising affiliates are out there that you can get/use quality banners for New Zealand businesses. I've looked at www.clixgalore.co.nz and I'm not super enthusiastic about them. Or is it simply the old method where you call companies and offer them advertising space?

Also product feeds, is there an NZ program out there that has merchants listing their product data feeds for publishers to link to their products?

Has anyone used Google Affiliate Network as a publisher. Perhaps kiwi companies use this?

I don't want to get into deatil about the project, will be pretty big. Just needed a steer in the right direction for this part of the web development.

Cheers

Google Affiliate Network? Google killed their affiliate part of AdSense last year. Are you not confusing this with AdSense

"Performance advertising" pays poorly in New Zealand. You make most money if you can sell ad space to ad agencies or directly. Of course this will depend on your site's capacity of delivering quality clicks.

And forget about contacting firms directly to offer advertising space. You will just be lost in the noise of 'web directories' begging for paid listings, and no one will give you the time of day.

Thanks for the info Mauricio, this is what I meant... http://www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork/publisher/index.html

I'm assuming this is also the performance based advertising that you were talking about rather than CPM and CPC advertising.

If you site does start to perform well do advertisers take note?

Cheers
