I can't really remember when was the last time I visited a Geocities site with any worthy content on it. But it's the granddaddy of all hosting services - the primeval cloud hosting?

Does anyone know how much of the Internet is being cut today, in terms of %?

Read on Wikipedia that Geocities had 1.8 million users so roughly 1.8 million websites right?

Recently there was an estimated 182 million websites on the internet.

So according to my calculator that's nearly 1% of the internet that died today. That's pretty huge.

I fondly remember my first website on Geocities. :(
